​Kathy Greenlee 
Greenlee Global LLC
Kathy Greenlee served for seven years (2009-2016) as the Assistant Secretary for Aging at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Washington, D.C.  During her tenure, Kathy provided national leadership on the realities and prevalence of elder abuse. Her work included the development of a home for Adult Protective Service programs at the Administration on Aging.   Since leaving Washington D.C., she has continued her work on elder abuse prevention and response at the national and regional levels.

Kathy recently launched a consulting venture, Greenlee Global LLC. Her goal is to engage regional and national partners to advance reforms aimed at improving people’s lives, with a focus on health, independence and security. Prior to going to Washington, D.C., she served for 18 years in Kansas state government, including her final position as Kansas Secretary of Aging.  During her years of public service, Kathy developed expertise in the areas of aging, long-term care, disability, elder abuse, health care and community services innovation and LGBT health.  She serves on several national boards and continues to work on improving the lives of older adults and persons with disabilities.

Greenlee was named to the inaugural list of “Influencers in Aging” in 2015 as one of the 50 thought leaders recognized for their work in changing how we age and think about aging.  She has received numerous awards for her passionate work on the prevention of elder abuse.  She serves on several national boards and continues to advocate on behalf of older adults and persons with disabilities. 
 
Kathy is a University of Kansas graduate, having received a B.S. in Business Administration and a J.D. from the School of Law.
